574 Limited Edition Las Vegas Collection

John @ New Balance Tampa has dropped a preview of the forthcoming summer/fall 574 Limited Edition Las Vegas collection. There are two themed shoes here, cards and dice, each of which comes in white and black colorways. The cards shoe has green interior lining and a transparent green sole in which Four Kings are displayed, a king of clubs on the “N”, and a repeating card motif on the upper and tongue. The dice model has a pair of sevens showing through on the sole, a Six die pattern on the “N”, and little dice all over the upper. Price is quoted at approx. USD $84.99.

This is not the NB that i fell in love with over 20 years ago. NB has always (at least until recently) practiced a “stay ahead of the curves not follow them” philosophy, but these are nothing but gimmicks!! simpler c/w, premium materials, and attention to details, thats what i’m looking for.

Yeah these are definately cheesy. They could have gone in such a better direction with these, especially with all Vegas has to offer for inspiration.

I think the white dice ones are pretty cool, the green kills the two card styles IMO.

I think the syles are sweet – they are different but the detail is there – love the soles!

Yeah, I like them! These are the NB classics, paying attention to detail isn’t what they do for these. They are for fashion. Detail comes with their running, walking, cross-training technical styles. Thats where they are ahead of the game.

    wrong on many levels

i’m a big NB fan, but i have to admit, they get trumped by Reebok’s Royal Flush collection dropping in June

thank god they are not Tier 0 releases

you don’t know what you’re talking about if you don’t like these. I have a pair and they rock and look sweet with jeans.
