New Trailbuster, CM576L, CM576S at Zozo
Who said the Japanese tend to go for muted colors? Now at Zozo are a pair of Trailbusters - aqua/pale violet and yellow/black, a pair of 576S’s - turquoise and dark pink, and three 576L’s - white/grey (with patent leather?), green and what I’m going to call Salmon (I’m totally color-illiterate so take that with a grain of salt).

576 Leftovers Collection is out
Made in Skowhegan, ME these are “inspired by (and for the most part, built with)” leftover materials from previous styles at New Balance’s factory. The right and left shoe have the same colors but on different panels, giving them the look of a photo and its negative. The concept is wild and as with any limited New Balance collection you can expect the quality to be outstanding.
The three colorways are available now at shops with Tier 1 accounts, such as Turf in San Mateo which has em for $145.

No commentsNB x Mita - 576 Yamato and Amazon
Not sure about the deets on this one, but while browsing Mita I noticed they have a pair of new Limited 576 collabs with NB, the CM576 YAMATO and AMAZON. They share a shock-red sole but are very different shoes with unique details such as the flower etching on the Yamato and camo insole on the Amazon.

No commentsSeptember 2007 Preview
Over at Nice Kicks you can find a preview of NB’s September 2007 offerings. There appear to be two 576s, two 1500s(?) and two 990s.
These are clearly a step in a different direction with louder prints, simple N’s that appear to have been applied with a paint stick, contrast stitching and new model number tag placements.

1 comment576 Classic Cars pack available now
This is proving to be a huge week for NB addicts as the Classic Cars trio has just dropped at End Clothing UK. These are top of the line editions with excellent details. Note the special “speedometer” insoles, the metallic bit at the top of the laces and heel (I’m sure there’s a name for that), and the lace locks.

No commentsNB UK - Spring/Summer 2007 collection
Highsnobiety has pics of NB UK’s Spring/Summer 07 line, courtesy of marketing agency, Canoe.

This includes the “Classic Car Range” threesome, scheduled for release in three months. My guess is these are 576’s like the Jacket series?

“The sneakers were inspired by 3 classic cars: Porsche Carrera, Ferrari Testarossa and Triumph Herald. … This range will go on Sale 2nd of February and will be exclusively available at Frontier, Offspring and Size? in the UK.”
Plenty of 574’s in the collection too including the Asian dragon model previously on NBB, another brown embroidered model, and a trio of bright colorways. I’m all about the fluorescent yellow!

On silent auction at Microzine:
“Inspired by a beaten and battered US Marine ammunition case, sneaker freak Dave White has customised a classic New Balance 576. With only one pair made, exclusive to Microzine, we just couldn’t put a price tag on these bad boys, so instead invite you to put in a secret bid. How much do you want them? Complete the form below with your bid, before Dec 1st.”
Hot shit… simple yet unique. Microzine is a men’s clothing/lifestyle store in London and Liverpool, England.

No comments576 BPW Solebox Purple Devil 2
Released Sept 12th, 4pm German time at Solebox is their 576 “Purple Devil 2″. Limited to 300 pairs worldwide and BOY IS IT PURPLE!
The original P.D. was the 575 BPW, same general idea (”purpleness”) but some differences in the details.
Looks like top quality as can be expected for a Limited Made in UK model and just the thing for that “put your foot up Violet Beauregarde’s arse” look.
