574 Asian LTD

Pretty wild Asian style on this one with a yellow embroidered dragon and toe stitching. I’m going to guess it’s Japanese-inspired because the dragon appears to have 3 claws but wtf do I know.
According to the all-knowing & all-sample-seeing Kiya these are Tier 2 Limited, hitting American streets on February 10, 2007 for $95.

574J “Almond” at Mita, Japan

This pink/gold/black design will be released September 25th at Mita, Japan for about USD $213. Nuff attention to detail here with the “for love or money” message on the tongues and the gold star eyelets. It seems this is the 2nd version of a 2005 collaboration with Almond.

576 BPW Solebox Purple Devil 2

Released Sept 12th, 4pm German time at Solebox is their 576 “Purple Devil 2”. Limited to 300 pairs worldwide and BOY IS IT PURPLE!

The original P.D. was the 575 BPW, same general idea (“purpleness”) but some differences in the details.

Looks like top quality as can be expected for a Limited Made in UK model and just the thing for that “put your foot up Violet Beauregarde’s arse” look.

New Limited 574 due in December

Due in December at all shops with Tier 1 accounts, these look to be all about the materials – chocolatey leather and what might be hemp? Cool oversized stitching as well. The pix speak for themselves:

1400 Super Team 33 (ST33) trio

Bit late on this one, but NB is releasing a trio of 1400s called Super Team 33 some time in 2007. Apparently 33 is the number of stores that will be selected to carry them. Fingers crossed that the black & yellows make it to the Bay Area… droool.

The theme is “fish”, reflected in the clear-sided box design (like a fishtank), box logo, the shoe colors (duh), and the scale-like notched leather treatment. You can see the inspirational fish themselves in the first few photos below. The heels are also embroidered with “ST 33” so the dude behind you on the stairs knows what to google.

All pix courtesy of New Zealand sneaker/streetwear forum, Solejam – nice one kiwi crew!

Triple Threat MT580 update

Another pic of the “Triple Threat” MT580 as reworked by Undefeated, Stussy and Real Mad Hectic. Buckwild!

According to Honeyee these will retail in Japan for 16,590 Yen or roughly USD $140, and we (or rather, they) may see a T-shirt and Be@rbrick toy as part of the collaboration.

M1700 Mita & Atmos – NB 100th Anniversary

New Balance has teamed up with Japanese shops, Mita and Atmos for some 100th birthday 1700s. These are scheduled for release on Sept 16th.
Mita comes clean with a navy/grey/cream/white upper and blood red interior! Nice gold accents as well on the “1700” thread and lace rivets. If you’re after something bolder look no further than the Atmos with a rich black suede & cream leather upper and hot pink toe.
